About the Tournament

Welcome to the 2nd Annual Battle of the Hudson! This warmup tournament brings together high school teams from New York and New Jersey for a day of competitive ultimate before the spring season kicks off.

Last year's inaugural event was a great success, and we're excited to host again in Brooklyn's Red Hook neighborhood. It's the perfect opportunity to shake off the rust, try out new plays, and build team chemistry before the regular season begins.

16 teams across 4 pools. Let's go!

Tournament Details

Divisions & Pool Structure

  • • Boys/Bx Division: Up to 12 teams across 3 pools (Pool 1 & 2 for A teams, Pool 3 for B teams)
  • • Girls/Gx Division: Up to 4 teams in 1 pool

Game Rules

  • • Games to: 13 points
  • • Half: At 7 points or 45 minutes (whichever comes first)
  • • Timeouts: 2 per half
  • • Soft Cap: 90 minutes  |  Hard Cap: 100 minutes

  • 8:30 AM – Coaches/Captains Meeting
  • 9:00 AM – First Pull

PM Session (Boys B / Girls)

  • 12:30 PM – Coaches/Captains Meeting
  • 1:00 PM – First Pull

Games Per Team: 2 pool play games on 4 fields

Field Amenities:

  • New turf fields
  • Bathrooms at Bay & Columbia corner (close around 3:45 PM)
  • Athletic trainer / first aid at Tournament Central
  • Water and snacks available

Parking:

On-street parking with ample availability on Bay St, Columbia St, Henry St, and Sigourney St.

Field Rules:

  • No canopies on the fields
  • Please use bathrooms behind Tournament Central at Columbia/Bay St
  • Please pick up all trash and leave the fields cleaner than you found them
